Review: Wow! 20 seconds into this video, I can already tell this was a TON of work. There are approximately a zillion edits in here! It all is so great too! The overlays look wonderful and the way you use quick cuts and effects is excellent. The video really holds the viewer's interest. Great work!

Review: I had a blast watching this! The fast pace of the editing keeps the video interesting, and you used some very cool visual effects. I love the sequence at about 1:18 where the overlay switches from b/w to color and back a couple of times. Very cool! Well done!

Review: SO gorgeous! You took a song with BIG drama, which can be hard to live up to, and really used it to its potential. The colorization and smooth flow of the editing created a really gorgeous visual. The way the edits in the video match the rhythm of the song so perfectly is awesome. Great job!!

Review: Okay. Love. Love. Love this. The colorful transitions with against the desaturated colors of the scenes looks so cool. The editing is fast and furious and the effects are impressive but not distracting. I absolutely love this! So cool! I wished it had been longer, but it's always a good thing to leave your audience wanting more!

Review: This video was extremely intense!I liked that you balanced slow fades with quick cuts to keep the pace of the video moving without being too predictable. Your editing was very conscious of the tone of music during different parts of the song, which is always really cool to see! Nice job!

Review: So funny. The way you manipulate the scenes to make it seem the characters are talking. This song was especially such a great match for Drusilla. Very creative! I can tell you put a lot of thought into this video because all the scenes match the lyrics so well. Wonderful job!

By the way, this is August, which means it is our anniversary month! We first opened the BBM Awards in August of 2004, which means we have been at this for NINE years. NINE! I was 16, and I'm 25 now. Cec: Yikes. Why not just rip my heart out?! Thanks a lot! I kid, but seriously. This was a convincing and very emotional AU video. You did a good job of sequencing the clips to tell the story in a coherent way, and you also utilized well special effects like overlays and black and white to separate the current storyline from the memories and flashbacks. This is a really lovely video. Great work!

Review:  Yeah. you rocked this. I thought it was precious the way you had the "rule #__" text pop up. That was well done. The way you incorporated flashbacks with present day shots was nice. You did a great job with the edits and the special effects. The way you alter the color and contrast really pulls the video together. I loved the way the vid never stopped moving, and the ending was just too good. Way to go! Loved it!

Cec: You did a great job capturing the dark and complicated emotions that Elena went through during this story line. The high contrast on the clips adds to the dark feel of the video. Great smooth editing and nice subtle visual effects. You did a good job of using voice overs to help the unfamiliar understand the story, without letting the voice overs get distracting or overdone. Well done!

Review: So, the second this started, I could not look away. The quick, sharp edits create a disoriented feeling in the best possible way. I think I was tense and nervous the whole of the video. Perfect song choice and perfect scene choices. The way you use the dark, purple tinted color pulls all the scenes together. Outstanding!! I love the parts where there is a quick burst of really quick cuts (I think there was a clip like that around 2:46.) Awesome!! So creepy!!!

Review: Great use of stills! That can be tough to do well, and you did a great job! The black and white and high contrast perfectly set the tone for this moody video. I love the way you cut back and forth from the clip of Faith falling onto the truck and the clip of her in the coma. This whole thing is so dark and edgy! Perfect for Faith's character and storyline. Loved how you switched to color in the last clip. Amazing work, as always!

Review: This video is so creepy cool! I had chills the whole time. I love that you chose to go with an instrumental song. It was a perfect fit for the feel of the show and video and it kept the focus of the story. the editing is outstanding! So fast-paced, but never choppy or sloppy. My favorite part was the scene of the young man waking up the kid in a coma at the end. The visual effect plus the sound effect there. Oh man.... such a great video! Review: Okay. I'll be honest. I was skeptical because cross-fandom videos are really hard to pull off but how wrong was I to be a skeptic. You. Rocked. This. Rocked it in a way that makes me want to use words like "hizzouse," and that is serious. I can't get enough of the way you draw parallels between these characters by showing them in similar situations and in visually similar scenes. You chose scenes that were the most effective as opposed to those that were just the most obvious. I love the way you use effects without overusing effects and editing in a way that is so seamless and lovely you hardly notice it and are impressed by it all at the same time. This is just materful. I also love the split screens like the one with Angel and Buffy kissing on the beach split with the Doctor/Rose scene. The bridge of the song was so heartbreaking. Just beautiful. You even made voice overs work... also a hard thing to pull off. Rock on, friend. Rock. On.

Review: Not that you are going to be surprised by this, but DAMN girl. Every time you rock it out. I love LOVE the beautiful visual effects. the overlays are not only beautiful and seamless, but also they convey the meaning of what you are trying to express in this video. A Perfect Circle is always a great choice for an angsty character study and you used the song to its maximum potential. I like the way you use certain scenes as overlays multiple times. It ties the video together really nicely. The scene you choice for the quiet moments at the end was just perfect. Well done!!

Let's do this!

You know what... there is no time like the present, so let's just do this thing. Until we figure out something better, here's the process:
1) Leave a comment on the appropriate blog post, which will be a post entitled something like this "Comment with your videos here: 2/15/13-3/15/13." The Comments box will pre-supply you with suggestions on how to submit.
2) Please submit one video at a time. Once you receive a review, you are ready to submit again.
3) Each video/review will be posted later as its own blog post.
